Join us, weather permitting, on Tuesday, July 12*, 6:30-9:00 for dancing down by the riverside at Cooper’s Landing. We’ll enjoy live music and dancing under the shade of the big sycamore, while the sun sets over the river.
There is no admission charge, but we’ll be passing the hat for the musicians. Food is available from Chim’s Thai Kitchen, or from the general store’s menu. (Cooper’s requests no carry in food or beverages. Water bottles are OK.) Dress for warm weather! Check here for any cancellation announcements due to bad weather or high water
*This dance was originally planned for the third Tuesday, but was moved up a week due to scheduling conflicts. The next Cooper’s Landing dance will be on the third Tuesday again, on August 16.
The monthly Hallsville Square Dance is also coming up on Saturday, July 9.
And mark your calendars for July 15, for the last Friday night contra dance of the season at the Ballroom Academy of Columbia. This will be the annual “Watermelon Dance.” We’ll enjoy watermelon on the break and also hold the election for new Mid-Missouri Traditional Dancers board members. If you are interested in learning more about serving the board contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 573-446-2415.
