Cliff White and Pippa Letsky
Join us for another lively night of dancing fun this Friday night. Tunes will be by Three Aound Three, an old-time music band featuring Pippa Letsky on fiddle, Bill Foley on banjo, and Cliff White on guitar. Paula McFarling will call and lead us through a series of choice dances.
The dance starts at 7:30 pm, with an introductory lesson at 7:00. Admission is $8 for the public, $5 for students and ages 16-25, with free admittance for children 15 and under.
Contra dances are held at The Ballroom Academy of Columbia (BAC) most first, third, and fifth Fridays. This wonderful facility has a spacious, floating wood floor and comfortable seating. The BAC is located at 3910 Peachtree Drive in the same plaza as the French Laundry (behind Arby’s) and faces Monterey Drive. For directions and a map go to: https://mmtdcolumbia.org/location/
No experience is needed! Each dance is taught and more experienced dancers are happy to provide guidance during the dance. No partner is needed either, as dancers generally switch partners each dance. Join us for fun exercise that will put a smile on your face.
Important Note – Please wear soft-soled or leather-soled shoes to preserve the floor. (No spike heels or cowboy boots.) Please carry-in appropriate dance shoes as needed.
The BAC has an endless water dispenser with paper cups, but we encourage you to bring a water bottle.
