Two dances this week: Cooper’s Landing and Columbia

Cooper’s Landing Dance: Tuesday, June 14th, at 11505 S Smith Hatchery Rd, Columbia, MO 65203
7:00 – 9:00pm

Sure, it’s gonna be hot, but so will the music! And the drinks will be cold.

Join us as down by the river as MMTD continues its monthly Cooper’s Landing dances on the second Tuesday of every month through the summer. 7-9pm.

This month, Paul Fotsch and friends (Cliff White on guitar and Kathy Gordon on bass) will be providing the tunes.

Come for the dancing, stay for spectacular sunsets!

The dancing and music is free. Tips gladly accepted. Beverages are available for purchase from Cooper’s and there will likely be a food truck. No COVID-related requirements for this outdoor dance open to to the public.

Contra Dance: Saturday, June 18th, at the Columbia Independent School, 1801 N Stadium Blvd, Columbia, MO 65202
Doors at 7, concert at 7:30 pm

Join us Saturday, June 18th, for our last dance of the season!

This one features music by The Campeau Creek Boys. Calling will be by John Petter, a veteran caller from Illinois who recently moved to Columbia and joined the MMTD fold.

After this dance, MMTD will be taking our annual summer vacation, so you don’t want to miss this one!

We ask that you follow these rules to reduce the chances of disease transmission:

  • Everyone show proof of full vaccination (including boosters, if eligible) or negative PCR Covid test within the last 48 hours.
  • All participants must wear masks at all times.

We know some of this seems onerous, but we beg your indulgence as we tiptoe back into this in-person thing. All rules will be re-evaluated as conditions (hopefully) continue to improve.

Admission: $8.00 or $5.00 for students, 15 and under free.
Come at 7pm for a refresher lesson and dancing and music will begin at 7:30pm.
