MMTD is very pleased to announce our first in-person Spring Breakdown Dance Weekend since 2019, featuring:

with Nils Fredland
March 17-19, 2023 at Capital Ritz in the Capital City (Jefferson City, MO)
Band and caller: Elixir and Nils Fredland are well-known and loved by dancers around the country. We are in for a treat!
Venue: Capital Ritz Dance Center, at 2716 Plaza Drive in Jefferson City, is a beautiful venue with an excellent dance floor and plenty of room. All dances, workshops, after-dance socials, and Sunday morning brunch will be at this venue. IMPORTANT UPDATE ON PARKING: Parking is available on the street and in the Capital Ritz lots in front of the building and around the corner at the annex. Parking is no longer permitted in the state office building parking lots across the street and to the west of the front entrance. These lots are marked with no parking signs.

Registration information: Early Bird pricing has ended. Weekend passes, which includes all dances, the Saturday workshops, and social events, are now $100/$50 for students. A la carte pricing is also available for individual dances and workshops. To register online for a weekend pass use the above link for Eventbrite. A la carte pricing and student discounts are available at the door. Please do not mail in registrations at this point.
COVID policy: We will be requiring a negative home antigen test completed within 24 hours prior to your arrival for the dance weekend. We strongly urge each dancer to do their part by completing the test at home and bringing a photo of the result (or the test strip) with you to the dance. We will have a limited number of tests available at the door. We also encourage masks, but don’t anticipate requiring them.
We recognize the concerns, uncertainties, and differences of opinion surrounding COVID and safety protocols. Our COVID policy is our best effort to provide a safe and comfortable dance experience for all, especially for our dancers and band members who would benefit most from extra caution, This policy is part of our arrangement with our band, who make their living playing music and are not all able to wear masks. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Home Hospitality. Limited home hospitality is available in Jefferson City and in Columbia. Contact us at mmtdhousing@gmail.com for information.
Financial assistance for this project has been provided by the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
